Ready Set Go!

This solo piece was a dance choreographed by Tiffany Taskey for my 2016-2017 dance competition season. I started working on Move in the beginning of October and continued with it until the end of July. I performed this solo seven times in total and was awarded many different awards. The video that is shown was the first time I was able to get on stage and perform my solo in-front of a panel of judges. I am proud to say that I was able to take this choreography to Nationals in Anaheim California and end the season with that.

During the year I had taken the Dance 3 class with Amy Riddoch. As a final for the semester in March of 2017, we had to choreograph a dance that either represented a time and place or a famous dance choreography. I thought it would be perfect to use the Napoleon Dynamite dance and put a modern twist to it. It had challenged me to use choreography from a movie, but allowing myself to make it my own.

This piece by David Guetta, Titanium was my first ever voice solo. I never considered myself a singer until my freshman year of high school. I pushed myself out of Concert Choir to Women's and wanted to try something new as a performer. That is when I thought for the March Semester final I would practice and sing a solo in front of a class of 45-50 girls. I never thought I would have the courage to do what I did, but it showed my how far I can truly go. Along with that it made me want to work even harder for the following years to go.

This dance is choreographed by myself for Skyline Spotlight. I was asked by a student named Elijah Donovan if I could perform a dance in less than two weeks. I took the challenge and then was able to say I had a piece named Memories. This gave me an opportunity to work with my own skill and be able to show it to the world. It also challenged me in the way of time managing everything in my life.
